The TechVisit to Composite Technology Center / CTC GmbH—An Airbus Company—offers exclusive insights into one of the world’s leading centers for large composite structures, industrial lightweight construction technologies, and additive manufacturing.

The Airbus site in Stade, with its lightweight construction ecosystem, is the center of excellence for the production of large and complex carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) structures at Airbus—and home to the CTC, Airbus’s lightweight construction technology and innovation center. Here, holistic lightweight construction solutions and industrial manufacturing technologies are developed—from early-stage research through to series production. The focus is on automation, CFRP, thermoplastics, additive manufacturing, and functional integration.

Together with the Airbus plant, they form a globally unique innovation and production ecosystem in Stade that spans the entire value chain: from the initial idea through research and development to industrial series production.

The visit is aimed at the AMBER and lightweight construction network communities and offers in-depth insights into real-world industrial applications—far beyond mere demonstrators.
