AMBER TechVisit 2025

With our "AMBER TechVisit" event format, we would like to visit companies and research institutions in the capital region and gain insights into "high-tech innovations made in Berlin". The event is aimed at anyone interested in learning more about 3D printing technologies.

On August 7, 2025, the tour went to the renowned Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology IPK in Berlin-Charlottenburg.

Together with the TU Berlin (IWF department), the Fraunhofer IPK provided exciting insights into the Production Technology Center Berlin (PTZ) - a place where science and industry are working together on the digitalized production of the future.

Together with the IWF department at TU Berlin, the participants experienced

- current Berlin research and application examples from the field of additive manufacturing - from powder bed processes to cold spray and surface finishing

- the real laboratory for the transformation of the vehicle and supplier industry

- Application examples for precision machining

- practical insights into high-tech systems and state-of-the-art digital production processes
