AMBER visits Cottbus

On 10.09.2024, the AMBER Steering Committee visited the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg in the neighboring state of Brandenburg. The focus was on additive manufacturing and its versatile technologies.

The first stop was the Center for Hybrid Electric Systems Cottbus (chesco). The impressive machinery, which not only covers various AM technologies but also the entire process chain from material production to component post-processing, could be viewed as part of a guided tour.

The second stop was the 3H research center with the SpreeTec neXt structural reinforcement project and the Panta Rhei research center for lightweight materials, where interesting insights into research into additive manufacturing and lightweight construction were also presented.

New interfaces were identified during the visit. In addition to successful networking, the first opportunities for future collaboration were discussed. Many thanks for the warm welcome from all the hosts at BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg.
