AVATAR

Avatar is a project aiming to develop patient-specific tumour models for cancer research. The project focuses on personalised medicine and predictive cancer diagnostics, in which additive manufacturing and patient-specific tumour models can be used to test individual therapy approaches for patients with advanced solid tumour diseases. By combining bioprinting technologies, customised bio-inks and advanced analytical methods, the project aims to improve the effectiveness and safety of cytotoxic and targeted immunotherapies and ultimately optimise treatment outcomes for cancer patients.

The project partners include Cellbricks GmbH, Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Technische Universität (TU) Berlin. Each partner hastaking on specific tasks such as developing bioprinting technologies, providing organoid models and conducting comparative analyses.
